Default launched fished and caught a little 27 incher Wendsday

Dropped my new to me wellcraft 18' fisherman in the water Wednesday afternoon even though the weather was lousy. and just had to wet the lines. Caught a bunch of cats and eels but was rewarded with the fist of the season a nice little 27" schoolie on a herring head anchored in <Edit - a little too specific, aka spotburn ~ Sudsy>. a few guys from my yacht club have landed some serious fish in the 20 and 30 pound range this week. There were about 10 boats out but not much action. will hit it real hard this weekend now that the boat is in. So my fellow cow chasers the fish are most surely in, so get out this weekend if you can.

Tight lines

Sorry about the specificity the part of the "lower Hudson" I fish comprises approximatly 8 square miles of navigable fishable estuary so I thought I was being quite general. I will however be even more obtuse about my fishing areas. I agree that we do not want to burn good holes. Thank you Sudsy for the redirect to the spotburn post. Give em hell this weekend and tight lines.
