I don't get it. The Comm. length is 14" and what 100lbs a day? When they are making the every day Joe that gets out to fish 7-8 days a month and is trying to feed his family and is not as capable of catching the numbers and size that the Comm. guys do keep fish that are 20" and what it looks like we are going to only keep 2-3. COME ON RI GET YOU HEAD OUT OF YOUR A$$ and do something about it.

I WILL BE AT THE HEARING

There is nothing established as of yet.
There have been some serious gains in moving this thing from the confusion and propaganda phase into consideration.
That number cannot be real..........
The latest discussion would allow the idiots that love to spend our money and raise the fees at will.
I hate to say it, and it leaves a really bad taste in my mouth, but if we do not call it a license the moneys will stay unprotect and open to gov. abuse.
Protect the damn money and get it secured by restricted reciept accounting.
What differance is a word? 1 allows the money to go anywhere, one makes sure the money goes into the resource by law.

Thats right I forgot they were using the word registry instead of a liences. I cannot see how a contractor could do this for 3.00.

The only time I'm ever in Narragansette, it's the middle of the night and the place has the sidewalks rolled up. Anyone know a good place to meet for a coffee beforehand?
I'll be wearing my colors.......................

I need to make a trip ove to NP for some tying gear.
I can swing through that section of Dodge and see what I find for "coffee" shops.
Probably Saturday or Monday.

Not exactly a coffee shop but thee is a bar/restaurant right on Rte 1A, just around the corner (figuratively) from the URI campus. It's south of the intersection of south ferry road and rte 1A. I don't know if I'll be able to get to the hearing yet.

Talk about quiet.
I haven't been to one of these in a while, what happened to all the yelling?
Stripers are status quo for the coming year.
There will be a lot dead fluke feeding the crabs and lobster with a 20 inch minimum size.
Unless you fish from a charter or party boat scup are 10 per day, split season gives the P/C guys a period with 45 per day. WTF? I would love to have someone explain this in a way that it makes sense.

Gunny, I left there scratching my head also. I did not think scup would get the attention it did. P/C boats 45 fish in Sept. I have never had some one pay me 500.00 for a scup trip but i have had people pay me to catch some mix strings bass sea bass scup etc but with fluke not starting until June 13 is a killer for me I am trying now to rebook several combo trips now. The party boats out of PJ were the ones pushing the scup catch.
