Throw it at fish, they'll tell you whether it's any good or not, at least for that night. The rebel brand has been around a long time, I believe Al McReynolds got the world record on a rebel, didn't he?

ide do what ed said....try it out. first do a search on ebay and see if you have some sort of collectors item....i doubt it, but some old plugs are worth a few bucks...unless i get my hands on em. ive re-wired some really old creek chub plugs and an original gibs bottle plug...and i fish em!!! even though the same models i have have sold at auction for up to $50.00 bucks each...with the original rusty hooks.

Is it like these?Heres some spoonbill rebels and deep rattlin rogues(which are basically the same lure)We do a good bit of trolling with them here in freshwater, they run 10-12 ft deep and at times work very well. They are 6 inches long with the lip,,4 1/2 " body. The hooks on em even when new arent to good. With the class of fish you guys catch,I would surely change out to some strong hooks. These five pounders I catch will bend em all up.

Great plug (I'm assuming it's the 6" version)

Lose the middle hook

Replace the rear hook with a dressed 3/0 VMC siwash

Swap out the front hook with a 4x 3/0 VMC if you want it to dig
Swap out the front hook with a 4x 2/0 VMC if you want it to run shallower with more of a snakey action
