Default Help from the pros

I've fished Raystown Lake with guides twice now, but never in mid October. Anyone know that area, approximate locations, fishing times, and baits? I was told to try a 10 inch eel soft plastic. Any thoughts for freshwater? The guides are tough to extract info from and I can't hardly blame them- it is their bread and butter. I'd rather try to get some help from you guys. I'm trolling and downrigging although I hear live bait is by far the best method. Can I use a live alewife on a downrigger? Thanks for the help?
