Default Depth charts????

i was wondering if there was any place that i could get a depth chart for the merrimack? the reason i am looking for this is because the last time i was there, i ended up fighting with the birds that were stealing my bait. some of the spots that i was casting to were only a few feet deep. at night this isnt a problem but in the daytime i end up feeding the gulls. any advice would be great.

Finding a chart for the river propper might prove difficult, give riverfront marine in Salisbury a try, I'm pretty sure they carry them , or at least did years ago, even then it wont be that much help, most of those charts havent been updated in years, they also only show the depth at mean low tide, so depending on the stage of the moon and time of year, those charts will only serve as a rough guideline.... do you have a fish finder or are you fishing from shore?

your best bet in either case is to scout at low tide, triangulate the deeper spots as well as the shallow ones, deep water will be a different shade of color than the shallows..

I have to admit, you are the first person I've ever heard complain about feeding the birds, most people fight with the crabs... your problem is unique...
