Default Striper's busting at Pickwick!

The Striper's are tearing it up at Pickwick. Caught two hogs yestrday..both in the 14 pound range. Two fish then went home. I was perched on a rock and could see those torpedo's chasing shad...what a site...there were some huge fish in there. The water is still very hot and I did not want to kill any fish so I quit after the two...as TWRA suggest one do. Had there been nothing but little ones in there it might have been different but the big boys were stacked up yesterday. Will head down again tomorrow.

Regards

we just got back today. we caught a few stripers on topwater but they were letting out too much water to fish below the dam with very much luck. we had to go down the river about a mile or so and found some stripers busting top water and caught a few of them around 8 pounds each. i broke one off they was alot larger but not for sure how big i could never turn him at all. had a great trip though. just read on the internet that they are now spilling at pickwick so i guess i come home just right.

Hi - I fish below Pickwick Dam about once a week. Do you fish in a boat or from the shore. I fish almost exclusively for Stripers and only use artificial lures. I have a 17 foot Lund Tyee boat Maybe we could fish down there together sometime. I was doing quite well through September but then with all the rain and spilling water over Pickwick Dam it slowed quite a bit in the last month.
