Default HELP!!!! Fishin' the Cape

After a terrible upper Hudson spring fishing season, I'm finally going to the Cape.
Unfortunately I"ll be in mid-cape missing the canal fishing and Race Point,
I"ll primarily be fishing West Dennis Beach, I'm familiar with this area.
My question, is there anything going on in that area? I"ve been online all over and heard of some Blue being caught. Are there any Stripers being caught in this area? Again, Ive fished this area and have caught many stripers , blues etc.. but not at this time of year. I"ll be going the 26th of June through the 30th , any help would be extremely helpful, and any particular lure selection would help also. Thanks Steve

p.s. I would like to thank god for this blessing of at least 72hours of nothing but fishing 'til I fall into a happy coma on the surf

Hey man,

I had a terrible season on the hudson as well. I feel your pain. I was just in that area of the cape 2 weeks ago. Fishing is great all around right now. I was in dennis port-bass river.. lots of seaweed. i managed to hook up with a nice size blue from the surf. Spent a half day at the canal it was dead but some days it can light up quick. I went out on a charter at the tip of p town and it was crazy! we boated so many stripers i lost count. we had our limit in the first hour and released the whole day. Check out myfishingcapecod.com for the latest reports. I think your best bet is to work the bay maybe take a trip to brewster. It can never hurt to take a trip to the canal, and in sandwhich off of sandy neck beach there was bait all over. Use the green color lures that resemble mackerel or sand eel's. Hope you get em out there man good luck!

thanks sooo much Rdubyaj ! ,
I found that site , and it was helpful, I used some other sites to find info earlier as well. I had 75 views on my help topic and no responses, probably lurkers no doubt.
I just posted some pics of my newest {some} creations, Big in-line spinners and re-done top water.
I"ll find fish, I'm planning on spending 30-40 hours on fishing while there both day and night and I"ll take heed of locations you stated!!
This site RULES!!!
