Default Ipswich Estuary questions

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if I could get your opinions on the Ipswich Estuary. I was thinking about buying a little 12' aluminum v-hull with a little outboard, and was wondering if it would be fine for the area. Ideally I'd like to do some clamming, maybe throw a lobster pot or 2, and hopefully jig up some macks for some striper action. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rob

12' boat would be fine inside the bay... but forget about jigging mac's with that boat.. tube and worm or night time eeling would be your best bet...

I wish I could give you a good reason why I didn't even think about eeling......Do you know which boat launch is closest to the bay?
