Default James River newbie

I just bought a 2140 Robalo and I keep it at Anchor Point on the Appomattox. I want to learn how th fish for srtippers (rockfish) in the region of the Benjamin Harrison bridge and Allied Chemical. I'm not after secret spots. I want to learn techique etc. I may hire a guide to learn if someone is recomended. Any and all help is appreciated.

Say, I'm the guy with a center console at Anchor Point. I'm not having much luck this season and would be interested in getting some help. If you want to split a guide let me know:

smirish I sent you a PM re: fishing the benjamin-harrison. Was that anyone on this forum out there tonight in a small center console? (looked like a skiff) I was out there in a jon boat. Got a few strikes that were def stripers, but nothing landed. I think my lures may have been too large based on the fact that on the way back in there were tons of what I think are tiny shad jumping all around.
