I've never had to sharpen a Gamakatsu hook right out of the box...and I have the holes in my fingers to prove it...

By the way - their Octopus Circle hooks are awesome. They are all I use for bass now.

Default The Right Guard plays on the inside of the Right Tackle.

I prefer the kahle for summer flounder aka fluke. For black back flounder
I like chesterton hooks. The smaller kahle do work on larger black back and
I don't recommend the chesterton for the fluke.

The summer flounder has teeth and the kahle or the circle hook with A long, slightly bend shaft with ounce again a slight curb in the bend is designed to
put a better hook set.

Now the chesterton or the long shank bait holder is designed to the others
feeding pattern. The winter or black back flounder has lips and is a smaller
species. They are many sucking in the bait.

If the right guard gets double teamed. You criss cross block.
