Thats what I figured...

I saw on another site how to make a loop...couldn't you make a loop on each end and just interlock the loops?

I make a nail knot with the lead around the dacron. Then I make another nail knot with the dacron around the leadcore. then I put the two nailknots together. The two pull against each other.

I'll probably do a loop to loop connection...
...or a loop with a Bristol Knot
