Default questions about mullet

the last few times i have been fishing the mullet have been all over the place. i like to use mullet as bait sometimes, and i have a cast net, so i was thinking about catching a bunch and freezing them for use later in the year, has anyone ever done this? do mullet freeze well?i was thinking about freezing them in seawater so they dont dry out. i was just curious to see if anyone knows whether frozen mullet is even worthwhile as bait.

I sure couldn't hurt anything and you would have some cutbait when needed. For freezing for extended periods of time I personally like a vacuum sealer.

You have to go with a vacuum sealer otherwise they will get freezer burn and the fish wont touch them.
I did it last year with bunker. Bunker are much bigger and hold more water so i had to salt them for a day or two first.

From personal experiance, Mullet do not freeze well. they thaw to mush instantly, even faster than Bunker.
