I have an Abu 6600C, I had two but one was stolen with new rod. The one stolen had new bearings, drag and worm gear. The reel stolen was new but over 20 yrs old(not used). The one I have know almost stock I would also say was not used(when I got it) as I opened it up and it was spotless. If you can find a 6601C in good condition I would say take it, if price is right-watch Ebay. It should be somewhat cheap, if you can then add some bearings, drag and worm from Mikes Reel Repair(pretty easy upgrade). All you really would need to do is the drag though, but by doing the above you would have a better reel than many new ones. Check Mikes also as he has some customs and you never know, he may get a lefty sometime(I don't see any there right now though) I have 300 yrds of 30# power pro plus mono backing and there is room to spare, this model I feel would be plenty for the canel.
