Lake Monroe, IN 8/30/2006
Skies were cloudy but the water was calm when we put in. Be dark it was whitecapped and starting to rain. Fished the fast side. Wipers were biting immediately. They were busting the surface in acre plots. Threw casting spoons at them, let the spoons sink through the herd, then give it a twitch and WHAM! Fish on. Put in in the late afternoon and by dark we had taken about a dozen wipers, most were between 4 and 7 pounds. Great fish on light line! No pleasure boats on the lake, which really helped the fishing.
