Default Plum Island Fishing Anybody?

Thinking about going down to Plum Island on Sunday Cinco de Mayo to hit the first tide in the morning and afternoon from Brunswick, ME. Hit me up if you're thinking about being there. I'm trying to get a report if things are looking good or not and will post if I hear something.

I will be out there from 10am-7pm for some stripers and weakfish. I'm a bigger white blonde guy most likely in camo shorts. Feel free to stop by.... name's Jason

Extremely rare to see a weakfish this far north... last one I heard about was caught in great bay.... years ago.....you have a better chance of hooking a sturgeon... if you do.. dont land it.. it is illegal.
I'll keep my eyes open for you guy's... and go the other way

Fluke are occasional visitors latter in July... it's not dependable fishing....

Winter flounder are strong mainly out side the river but some do make theirway inside...years ago we did well inside... like everything else.. it's not dependable fishing any longer.... blue fish show up in late June... cod, and haddock are within 5 miles of the beach this time of year...we used to catch cod in the mouth of the river and even from the surf... that fishery is gone forever... we used to catch harbor pollock in the spring/early summer up inside the river and along the tide line in the flats , that fishery has died as well... stripers are your best bet.... followed by bluefish.. unless you get outside the river...plenty of bass around rigth now up to about 12 lbs... lots of top water action this week end as well... too bad the boats keep running over the fish and putting them down.... some people will never learn... silently drift or motor up to the breaking schools... cast to the OUTSIDE of the school to avoid spooking the rest of the fish... it's the best way to sustain action on breaking fish..
