If you are going to wade it, I would suggest the dam at Lake Monroe. It is not far from Indy. The hills are a delight to see and the wiper fishing is usually not bad. Hike down the face of the dam and wander out into the lake; it is fairly shallow for quite a way out. If that doesn't produce, go to the swim area at Fairfield. If you're fly fishing, so much the better. I have not heard about Brookville lately, but when I was there three weeks ago, the zebra mussels are pervasive and they have cleaned the water so well you can see your lure bouncing around twenty feet under the boat. Needless to say, stripers will see you long before you get anywhere near them. That was my take on it, anyway. Good luck!
