I'm starting to get into striper fishing more but the winter, cold, and rain is soon on its way.... Is it still good fishing in the winter?? Whats good to use..jerkbaits swimbaits jigs??
Hey Bassmaster4,
Not much of a winter we're having right now but winter time can be very productive especially for stripers in the aqueduct system. I've had alot of success using jerkbaits in the morning or late afternoon hours. You need to find clear water and keep moving. If the fish are not active you need to jig a fluke on the bottom and work it all the way back to shore. Hope this helps.
Is mackarel any good this time of year or is it still too early?
