Default Delaware R and bloodworms

Is it true that if you want to have any kind of a chance to catch stripers on the Delaware you need bloodworms? I have lots of artificials to try!!

try artificials in the morning. find some moving water like eddies or some places that bend into shoulders or maybe bridges or by that dam. i've had friends tell me they have done well on plugs but i'm not entirely familiar with the delaware fishery so i can't help that much. perhaps jim will have some more info on it for you.

They will hit surface plugs and poppers. Some guys are so conditioned to bait like bloodworms, cut or live herring and trout that they use nothing else. Some sharpies and regulars who fish the lower to mid river ply it with poppers and swimmers.
