Default 1st keepah

caught this up on the me seacost....apparently can't give exact location so I will tell you it was "near" drakes island, ME off a sandy beach near where a river comes in.....

Anyway, the fishing wasn't that great....I fished pretty hard until i finally picked this one up that was in the slot. Fish was caught on a clam

Hey Point

In Maine they have a whole different system.....I like their system better than Massachusetts' because it's better for the fish population. I believe you can keep fish between 20 and 26 inches and one over 40.....correct me if I'm wrong.

Don't worry though Point, earlier this year I made a similar comment about someones fish because I had no idea of the slot limit rule.

You can keep one fish a day 20-26" OR over 40"....but the way things are going up here, I might forget what a striper looks like by the time I get around to keeping one!!!!!

point,

as the guys said.....20-26 or over 40....1 fish a day. I fished for 2 hrs at high noon and one morning (1.5 hrs) for this fish.........which i consider a lot of time for 1 striper.........i just usually do better, period. This year has been funny. I am thinking about going tomorrow....a report will follow

Ummmmm, 2 hours and 1 1/2 hours is only 3 1/2 hours man......I fish 4-5 hours minimum in one trip, and often times longer!!!!! Not much of a mid-day fisherman though, early a.m. and late night are my go-to's. Anyway, good luck, hope something gives soon!!!!

hey guys, went up to seabrook yesterday and fished the high tide with only one 20" striper, fished for about 4 hours. I live in boston so its tough to fish nights because i don't know many places close enough that would allow me to get out at dark and fish for a few hours and not have a 1 hour drive back into the city.

caught the fish in seabrook on a clam 20 min before high.
