Default Fluke Tackle

Hi every one. I 'm looking to get a fluke set up for summer but as I have only gone a few times I don't have any Idea what to get. If anyone has any suggestions it would be appreciated. I would also like to use the same set up for black fish, and maybe drifting for stripers.
thanks in advance
K23

I use my 7' St croix for fluke, sea bass, and blackfish. i even use it to drift clams for stripers. Some of the more seasoned guys might have a better answer for you but that has served me well. As for a reel, I'll say it a hundred times, i love my Avet SX. Use it for anything and everything.

G. Loomis, St. Croix, and falcon are all excellent rod makers. I have a 6 foot falcon rod that I use for chunking and drifting and casting, all in one. Has an Epixor 30 size on it, but Im thinking of getting a chunkin rod (7 foot St. Croxi probably) with a baitrunning avenger on it

6.5 to 7 ft medium graphite rod and an abu 5500 c3. If you're going to fish deep water with strong current increase the rod action to MH and maybe go to a 6500 c3.

Default Rod

Not sure what type of $$ you want to spend but if your starting off this set up will get you going. Great reel and upgrade the rod at some other time. I have a few of these reels and they are good solid allaround reels.

I USUALLY GET FLUKE WHILE DRIFTING FOR STRIPER,PROBABLY A LITTLE OVER THE TOP AS FAR AS GEAR I'D SAY ANY HEAVY FRESH WATER RIG WILL WORK.
