This might be my best yet! Pine, Epoxy sealed, has 2 oz of lead in the front, .8 in the middle. STILL FLOATS! I had 1.3 originally but it still sat too high. The back is just a tied teaser trail i tied, only the eye portion. Couldn't fit in 7 line But it still looks awesome with 4. Not e texed yet. Has pearl white bottom, silver sides, light green under dark green with a blackish green head. Its 7inches wood to wood. Enjoy!

Monty,
Sharpen your tools
Sharpen your tools
Sharpen your tools
Sand a little more. maybe start with a courser grit and work down to at least 180
Go easier on the paint, yer laying it on a bit thick which can be an invitation to peeling over time. It also caused that wavy, lumpy, uneven pattern.

But if it swims it's all good, that's really all you need to catch fish, the rest is just window treatment

rac37,
Got the bug bad, huh?
Plugs look great, scale jobs look like you've been doing this forever.

Just took some off the spinner.

Sealed or topcoated ??

If you've done it right you shouldn't ever have any lumps from the sealing process

If you have lumps from the topcoating process you may be using too fast setting of an epoxy and it's setting as you put it on. Either that or your spinner isn't fast enough or, if yer using the flipping technique, you're not flipping often enough.

Ed, nice stuff, really nice !! Remind me to ho that surfster from you
