That's what we're talking about. Must be fun when a few of those rods get hit at the same time.

My heart would explode with 7 rods having fish on them at the same time.

Keep in mind fellas these fish are not near as big as the big fellas yall catch,I guess they would fall into what you call schoolies,,18 to 26 inches or so.The 26 inch er are fat and weigh in around 8 lb,that is a very good fish for the lake I fish....They are feeding/gorging themselves on tiny/baby shad from one to mabey two inches long. Now you have to use a small bait to get them to bite.

samIam, how is the water clarity down there right now? The rains earlier this week had it nasty, so I was wondering if it had cleared up any.

Wyliecat,my computer has been down so I have just now saw your post and probally to late with my reply but here goes.I have onlly been around clearwater cove area in the last week since the big rains. The fish are still hitting pretty well, the water down that far never got real bad,but my uncle fished friday and said it was muddy around wateree creek area ,cutbait fishing, first fish was a 7 lb striper, then all catfish,no big uns,13lb biggest,Said bait was hard to get in wateree creek. He caught one big, shiner about 8 inches long and used him live, said the best fish hit it was pullin some drag but came off,he said he thinks thats the first fish on a shiner for him..It usually dont take much for wateree creek to get stained though.I cant say for sure how it is around beaver ,june or colonels creek.Wyliecat, you dont look right holding that striper,I'm use to seeing you with the big blues!!For you guys that dont know Wyliecat,he is a catfishing machine!!Post some pictures and wylie reports for us to look at man..I am gonna try to slip to santee friday or saturday, theres enough water in the flats to get out now..sam

Time to try some of those big saltwater plugs we use up here. Big bait equals big fish.

I can relate to SamIam with his bait. I caught a few trolling two years ago on Tillery during Dec. and decided to look inside to see what they were feeding on. All had the small shad like he is holding but there were several in each. Probably 15-20 shad in each fish.
