Default Reccomendations on a decent Plug rod

Hey guys,
Time for me to get a new rod, I've been using a 7.5 ft jarvis walker rod for an all around rod and its awesome, even for casting plugs and metal off the surf but I think I would really benefit from an 8-9 foot rod that I would use primarily for throwing wood plugs and metal off piers and the beach.
I've been searching around, found a few nice ticas and a few others but wondering if any one has a rod they swear by?

Id like to keep it around 100 bucks, I could go up for a good rod but I deffinietly wont be spending 200+ bucks.

Appreciate it guys thanks!

Tica makes some decent rods. Also look at Tsunami Airwave. I've not used either of them, but have read a lot of good reviews.

As for the rods I actually use and "swear by", they cost more than 3X what you're wanting to spend, so I won't waste your time entering them into the discussion.
