Default Jordan

Here is a general rule for all summer time impoundments. It should apply to Jordan lake as well as other large lakes

Summer

This is prime live bait time! Stripers are likely to be deep; locate the stripers on your graph and notice the depth of suspending baitfish schools. Then fish just above this depth. Stripers feed up, they will seldom go deeper to take a bait.

Trolling multiple lines at different depths works. Troll across primary main lake structures, especially humps and points (both shallow and deep), around islands and along bluff banks. All of these spots attract baitfish. Concentrate on the midsection of the lake down to the headwaters. Stripers are likely to be sluggish in warm water, so don't troll too fast.

Also summer time is live bait time.

Good luck I hope this helps a little.

Default $50,000 tagged Bass

Early Times Kentucky Whiskey is running a fishing promotion in which 25 largemouth, smallmouth, striped, white, and Kentucky spotted bass have been released in Jordan Lake. Twenty-five have also been released in Norman Lake near Charlotte.
One of the 50 fish carries a tag that gives anglers 21 and older a chance at winning $50,000.
To be eligible for a chance at the Grand Prize of $50,000, an angler must pass through two stages -- the semi-finals drawing and the Grand Prize drawing. Anglers who catch a tagged bass and register their tag number will automatically win an Early Times prize package and a spot in the semi-finals.
Early Times Kentucky Whiskey will then randomly select one semi-finalist from all the submitted tags in North Carolina to be eligible for the Grand Prize drawing. If the selected semi-finalist has registered a tag number that corresponds to the winning tag number, $50,000 will be awarded.
The promotions agency will randomly select the semi-finalist for the Grand Prize drawing in North Carolina at the end of the promotion. Early Times will announce any winners of the "Tagged Bass" promotion during the first two weeks of August.
The contest runs from July 1 to July 31, 2005
Tagged fish will be largemouth, smallmouth, striped, white, and Kentucky spotted bass.
You must be at least 21 years old to be eligible. You must have the necessary fishing license/permit to be eligible. Void where prohibited.
Potential winner(s) will be notified by phone and/or e-mail by August 15, 2005.
