I have the Browning pliers. With replaceable cutters they work well for fifty dollars I have had them for three years and still havent replaced the cutters.

I also Carry in the truck a small pair of bolt cutters the smallest ones you can buy just in case I need to cut a hook out. Most of the time I push it through and can crush or cut the barb off. Sucks to do but thats life.

Sargeant just added a new type of plier that I want to try... I had the old style but lost them years ago ... replaced them with Manleys.
