Hit up IB and couldn't buy a bite. The guy next to me rolls up and first cast catches a mid 30's fish. After that we just had pods of mullet running up the beach with no fish under them. It was wierd. I saw some stripers in the wash, but nothing on the end of the line. Oh well, I'll be back out there thursday.

I don't know about a MASSIVE blitz up north, but I can confirm that the bait and bass were back last night in southern MoCo, after the storm, out on my neighbor's boat to go fluking, that got delayed a couple hours while we chased the bass and bunker pods around.....decent sized fish, all on wood plugs. When the bass bite died off, we actually did get to fluke a bit, caught my first of the year, but nothing bigger than 16-1/2".

I was the first guy on it
Massive blitz - not even close
Stupidly Massive crowd - definitely

I took my kids to the beach yesterday so they could surf while I poked around with the fishing rod. Small schools of bunker passed by all day, all of them out of reach, most doing the happy, "nothing chasing me" bunker dance.

About 6 P:M an acre size school of bunker came up just off the jetty and they were being harassed. Other then me there were only 3 fisherman there. Within 15 minutes you had to take a number to step up to the water, Guys running down tot he beach from both sides, people standing behind people casting over them. The stupidity factor was higher then anything I've ever seen before - even worse then Turtle Cove (and I thought that was the pinnacle of idiocy - I was wrong)

Some fish were caught, but considering the size of the crowd very few fish were caught.

The experience was like being in the middle of this

Sounds like fun. The report I had was from a very popular area in NoMon. From 7pm to about 11pm it was nonstop.

Hit up a sandbar and wash today by Gilikans, nada once again. Soaked some bunker noggins and chunks until an hour after hightide and decided to call it quits and go to school. My brother is going out on a charter with the Hi Hook2 tomorrow morning, hopefully he'll have something. I'm really starting to doubt my skills in the surf. Thats more days than I want to count in a row skunk.

I'm not giving up, I've just been rethinking everything I do to see if it all makes sense.

Oh and I counted, thats 15 days non consecutive with a skunk straight. No bluefish, no stripers, nothing. It only drives me more to catch somethin haha.

On topic, water temps are finally starting to pick back up from that southern wind we had.
