When are people planning to head over there? Clearly I can't wait for the summer.....

Thanks,

I'd say another month, but keep an eye on the water temps to get near 50 degrees.

That's a good tip, thanks. I had a link to the local water temps yesterday but forgot to bookmark it. Anything I can check for live temps?

UPDATE: NM, I found it again. Closest station is at Falmouth. Says it's currently 48.6 degrees. That's might close to your 50 degree cut off :)

Right.

We'll start to get some schoolie action very soon I think. Some larger fish will generally start to filter through in 2-3 weeks from what I've seen. The Hudson River spawning run is just now starting to pick up, and there's not much bait in the water here yet.

That said, you never know when you'll be surprised by an earlybird (or fish), and you for sure won't catch anything unless you get your line wet

So true. I will give it another few weeks here and keep monitoring the forums for action!
