Penn 704Z on Ebay
If you dont plan on dunking it underwater. Quantum Cabo 5000 probably is a good fit. I would guess something around 20 -25 ounces.
There's a lot out there and its a personal choice.
Me I would put a Van Staal 250 on it

For the money go to E Bay and get the 704z in good condition or great condition you should not have a problem finding one under 100 dollars. Spool it with fire line 30 pound and enjoy. If you want to fish it bailed order a bail spring from a reel repair supplier. It will be one of the better reels you will ever own for the surf.

with the line and weight of lures you intend to use i would definitly go with jims suggestion a vs 250 or 275. if you put any real time into fishing you will roast those other reels.
i know personally the way i fish my zeebaas and van staal are actually cheaper than buying lower priced reels because i would burn through 2 or 3 of them in a season.
the old penns are good but you have to take care of them

Which means you will never get a VS as that 704 is a tank that will outlive you.
