I just got a 92 4HP evinrude. The throttle is up on the top of the engine cover and works by sliding it back and forth depending on the speed you want. Its a very akward throttle. Its basically a plastic piece that you slide back and forth.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can better improve the throttle mechanism on this outboard? Maybe get an extender cable of some sorts and attach to the handle? Just curious if anyone has ever done this before.
I've never heard of anyone doing that, they are meant to be kickers on sailboats and such and the throttle isnt adjusted that much. You could try rigging something up but I dont think it would be worth the trouble.
