Default old reel

Im 25 yrs old now and still have my first reel i got when i was probably around 10-12. It is a penn 705z and has been sitting for the past 10 years. Where is the best place i can get this cleaned and any service it may need after sitting for 10+ years.

The 705 is a lefty reel, not so easy to find.

Nice reel, like Jim said - not an easy find

Very easy to service yourself.
A small screwdriver
Pair of pliers or socket to loosen the nut attaching the rotor to the gear
A small bowl with about an inch of Naptha, some Q tips and an old toothbrush to clean out the old grease
Fresh grease for the internals
3 in 1 oil for the bearing

definitely try to service this reel yourself. i myself just got done with some service and maintenance with a 704z that i bought on ebay recently. thought it was perfect working condition as stated in the description till i was out last weekend and the anti-reverse failed on me. opened up at home and noticed a busted ratchet, cracked main gear thrust washer, and worn springs. ordered parts and replaced them myself today. with no experience in breaking down and putting together these reels before, i found it pretty easy. give it a shot.

next project would be what sudsy recommends for re-greasing and lube.
