Default Ingalls ave in troy

Just FYI for Anyone who launches there boat by the troy dam, I was just down there and it doesn’t look like the new boat ramp will be ready any time soon.

They have almost a month ….. which means it will be done in two months right when the season ends! On a serious note it looks like it's going to be a nice launch which is great but I bet there's way more traffic up there once it's done.

Anyone know if it's a contractor or the city building it? If it's a private firm it may get done. They didn't start too long ago and there's a lot done already.

I do not see myself using it during the run, probably be way too busy. During the summer it could be convenient though. Does there look to be ample parking?

I talked with the construction crew on Monday and was told the project completion date was April 1 and that It would be finished soon, within a few weeks. There is one lane going down and a two wide launching ramp with one lane coming out to the top parking lot.

That's good news and bad I suppose. It will be nice to launch there but I bet the whole area up there is an absolute zoo.

The more the merrier I guess. Maybe it will take some pressure off the launches further south.

This Troy launch is going to have major problems with debris. I really don't know what the solution will be or how they will keep it clean.

This new launch sounds like a dream to me. When everyone is crying about debris I will be out fishing!

I'm not sure how you could launch with debris like that .... or even get it out of the way. I cleared debris out before launching at the old one routinely.

But there is a breakwall/barrier and I don't think we'll have too many issues unless the river is way high anyway.

I know they call it 2 lanes but that is awful narrow to launch two boats at once.

Ha! Crying about debris? You can't launch out of there with all that shiat. Launch is useless with all those logs, you couldn't even put a canoe in the water.
