Default Connecticut River??

The river has finally dropped a significant amount in the last few days. Anyone know of any repors of schoolies in the river yet? Can't wait for the run this year and I'm praying it's better than last year's disaster.

We hit the upper CT river with some fresh sandworms and T-Man tubes and murdered the schoolies. Man what a blast we had with fish on ever pass and several doubles. From 1 to 4pm it was non-stop and we boated around 30 fish.

The fish were pretty spread out and it made for great tubing action. No biggun's but lot's of action on another beautiful spring day.

We ran into Dave Sheridan out on his new skiff... NICE BOAT DAVE!!!!!!!!
On our way back up the Farmington we rounded the bend just in time to see a young kid in a small boat fighting a jumping fish. Turned out to be a smallmouth about 4 pounds... very cool and he was pumped!!!!

Here's some pics......

Connecticut River ? STRIPED BASS are now in the river from Haddam to north of Hartford. Mostly school size (16-25?) fish with an occasional keepers. Inland fishing license is required to fish in the CT. River north of the railroad bridge in Old Lyme. Sand & blood worms are working. SHAD (many 3-4 lb.) are reported in the river up to Windsor area
