Default well, I already bought it but...

I'm hoping you guys will tell me it's a good one:

click here to see my new fishfinder

My boat came with a Garmin GPS so I went out last night to buy a fishfinder. I was planning to buy a $150-$200 unit but I got a little carried away

The only fishfinder I really liked was $550 so I ponied up the extra cash to get the same one but with a GPS in it as well (which is what I really wanted in the first place).

Did I make a good decision?

Thanks
Jay

I think you made a good choice, but then again what the hell do I know! lol. I recently bought one myself, although I went with a garmin. It looks like they both do the same thing and at a similiar price. When I was doing my homework I found that most people said the same thing; get one that has 4000 watts peak to peak, and to spend the extra cash, if you go cheap you'll be disapointed. I think you'll be happy with it.

Thanks for the reply Cheech! I think I'll definitely be happy with it. It's the first one I've ever had... at least I'll have nothing to compare it to

Duplicity on a boat is never a bad thing, especially with GPS units. If one goes down, you have a backup!!! That is a good unit there. I've got two combo GPS/sonar units on my boat. Both are fully functional, but I use one as a GPS and the other a a sonar, so I don't have to keep flipping the split screens.
