talked to him bout a bunch of stuff.... but bout the etex he said it should definateley weaken it, but not sure of any thing else, i think im working on some plugs tomorow so i should have them sealer ready for thursday or friday hopefully

It's the hardening and strengthening of the wood that makes the whole epoxy ordeal worth the effort.

If the thinned mix doesn't harden it the same then you might as well go with any one of the number of different one part dippable materials like Minwax wood hardener, the stuff that "crab" company puts out, spar varnish (urethane), BLO .........................

Has any one tried using spro heavy duty swivels... they are the ones tht are like completley different from regular swivel style...

this style.....
and i no the heat sealing is better for soft woods then hard woods... what sealers should i use for hard woods and when i dont epoxy seal... if any one has one tht works well and is easy to use let me know

That's the type of swivel I use in all my plugs.
