Default Impossible Mission - Trying to Cancel an AOL

This is so true!!! NO LIE. I had to cancel an AOL account that I used temporarily as a backup, and the guy on the phone was just like this! They yap endlessly, trying to get you to change your mind. You just want to strangle them!!!! I guess they are trained to try and trick your mind into thinking you dont want to cancel when you call

Cancel gAyOL

I went with a new service for my internet. Yea , they don't want to lose the business. It's annoying, you know what you want to do, and you get the idle banter on the other end on the line.

Ya. Take it from someone who has been in the IT biz for almost 10 years....AOL is not only terrible for the customers in many ways, but its terrible for the Tech. that has to work on your PC after AOL shreds your Windows Registry.

I remember a long time ago when I found out that AOL MADE you use their software, and you could just use their dial-up number(s) and set up a connection through windows. TERRIBLE. I had Earthlink back in the day, and never even installed their software, just used their number to dial-up. Nope, AOL dont let ya. They make ya fill ya PC up with a maelstrom of crap N piss, Just about all of which is incompatible with everything else out there. AOL preys on the unknowing with the old "AOL is easy, so if you dont know crap, you can use it" mantra.

Did I mention it was terrible?
