Default Fishing with Sarah

Me and my 3 year old daughter Sarah headed out to Geist Reservoir (Geist is known for it's largemouth, crappie and catfishing) to do a little fishing, and just goof off for the day.

We cruised around for awhile, and Sarah asked me.."daddy can we catch some fish now?" I said.. "sure sweetie"

So we headed over to fish some docks for some bluegills at Sarah's request.

The bluegill fishing was non-stop and Sarah was having a ball...

After and hour or so of catching bluegills Sarah said.. "daddy I want to catch a big fish now?" I said "Ok honey, we can use some of these bluegills for bait" and she said.. "ok daddy"

So we headed over to a stretch of bank that I know always holds bigger fish.

I anchored up, and got the lines baited and put out

Then "FISH ON!"

We got the fish in the boat, and I said.." here we go Sarah..this is a big fish"... and Sarah said...

"OK Daddy, it's a catfish where's the stripahs?"

Nuff Said!

Thanks everyone for all the kind words .

The striper bite has been a little slow right now due to a false spawn. Although the hybrid bite has been firing up again. Me and Sarah managed to get out and catch a few with mom, and Sarah's all smiles now!

And excited!
