I can't narrow it down to one.

Rolling Stones - Opening Night of the "Licks Tour" Boston

Grateful Dead - Too Many nights too count.

Tori Amos - I did not want to go to this show at all. I did and she was incredible on stage.

Phish - Every New Years Show from 1991 - 1995

BB King - Any time Any Place the guy can barely walk but he tells a great story and Can play

Steely Dan - Another concert I didn't want to go to but was very happy I did

Allman Brothers Band - Great Shows

Probably - Pink Floyd. Nassau Coliseum June 16th 1974
They opened for themselves with "Wish you were here". Floyd released the album in December no one had heard it up until then. They closed with Dark Side of the Moon and Brain Damage.

Wilkpedia got it wrong. "Wish You Were Here" made its stage debut on the band's 1977 tour"

Soooo many good shows myself. Of course Zeppelin, Pink Floyd top the charts. Then there was the first time I saw KISS. It was the "Destroyer" tour, 'OMG they blew me away.
However my very first concert was Alice Coopers "Billion Dollar Babies Tour" and you know what they say about your first one, and one can't go wrong with Alice.

That's a really tough question, I need to make the choice between "best" show and most fun show.

I'd have to say the best show was John Luc Ponte outdoors night time concert in a driving storm. It was miserable for us in the stands, but there he was out on the point of the triangular shaped stage playing like a madman with the wind blowing in his face, long hair straight out behind him. It was a great show.

Most fun would have to be the Stones, Tatto You Tour, general admission, 1981, JFK Stadium in Philly.
The 6 of us, myself, my girlfriend, another girl and two guys, got there at about 5:00 the night before and partied straight through the night until it was time to line up at the admission gates at dawn. I think the only person to get any sleep at all was my girlfriend who crashed for about an hour in the back of the car.

One of my favorite memories was from before the show even started. it was no more then 7:30 in the morning and the PA system was blasting Roadhouse Blues by the Doors. Now this was back in the day when you could bring a cooler into the show with you so we had dragged 3 big coolers stuffed with beer and ice to no more then 50' from the stage. The speakers blared, "Woke up this morning and I got myself a beer!" and the entire place went nuts

The show opened with the Hooters, a local band who had just put out their first (and only?) successful record, followed by George Thorogood and the Destroyers and then Journey. We thought they were all great. Journey had just put out that big album of theirs and no one was sick to death of em yet.

I'm not even sure what time it was when the Stones finally came on stage. The entire crowd went wild and pushed forward. Up front we were packed so tight that at times I'd be swept in any direction with my feet not even touching the ground! To this day I still can't believe no one was killed.

Fortunately the girls and one of the guys had left to find a bathroom right before the Stones came on and weren't able to make it all the way back to the front. I don't think I could have stayed right up where I was if my girlfriend had been there. She was just a little thing and couldn't have handled the crushing preassure of the crowd, I woulda had to get her out. As it was, quite a few girls and a few guys who couldn't take it were being handed along over the top of the crowd for medical attention.

After the show we all met back at the car, partied and unwound until the lots cleared out. I'll never forget the sight of the parking lot when it was all over. I've gone to dozens of shows, 100's of NFL games, and I've never, ever seen a parking lot trashed even close to as bad as this one was. The driving lanes out looked like trails in the woods, just two tire tracks though the garbage.

I know I couldn't survive any of it now, the crowd, the nonstop partying, the massive sleep deprivation combined with the insanity, but man it was fun then.

for me it was without a doubt U2 at the old boston garden on st. patricks day in 1987. my best friend and i had seats in the upper balcony, behind the stage. they opened with "where the streets have no name." as soon as the crowd heard the first notes the place went absolutely nuts! the balcony was actually moving up and down from the crowd's jumping around! i clearly remember thinking "well, if it collapses and i die i will have died a very happy woman!" incredible. for the record, i haven't missed a tour of theirs since 1985. i'll be at gillette stadium 9/20/09

I saw the rolling stones at Shea in 1989 and the upper deck and mezzanines were bouncing. There was concrete dust pouring out all over the place - pretty scary. I didnt want to die at that concert for sure. The stones were like 80 years old already.

Back in the 70's, Pink Floyd put on a very good show.
Also in the 70's Blue Oyster Cult, put on a good show.

Some of the hardest rocking concerts I saw were The Who, Ted Nugent ( absolutely the wildest show I ever saw ), and Van Halen. I remember going to the Yale Bowl for a summer time concert where there were lots of bands like Foghat, Heart, The Eagles, and many others.

I nsaw Aerosmith twice and thought they sucked both times. One was just after Joe Perry left the band and then again right after he joined back.

I saw Journey at the Cape Cod Coliseum and that was a great show

My 1st concert ever was at the Lenox Music Inn in the Berkshires where I saw The Outlaws who absolutely rocked and they were opened by Taj Mahal. The guy I went with drove us there because I was still too young to drive and he passed out drunk at the show so I dragged him back to the car and drove back myself...still don't know how I did that.

The black and blue tour with Black Sabbath and Blue Oyster Cult was pretty good as was the Blue Fog tour with Foghat.

But I think the best shows I ever saw were Styx. I love their music and every time I went to their shows I was not dis-appointed

Bands I never saw but which I did was Pink Floyd and Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin.

summer jam concerts in Kansas City's Kemper arena and Arrowhead were like my best times. one was The Cars + Jimmi Buffet + Heart + Kenny Loggins "who rocked the place" + Ted Nugent. freaken great show.
another was The Outlaws + Doobie Brothers + Molly Hatchet + Marshall Tucker + lynyrd skynyrd. probably my all time best time ever. i had some really cool friends in the service. and i always seemed to get in trouble no matter where i went. i didn't like gettin my ass kicked by cops back then. MP's were alot kinder but had my share of them as well. i lost those three years and had fun doing it. i caught a velour shirt that eddy money threw off the stage at a chick in Manhattan Kansas and i got some chick to hook me up for it. that may have been my all time best concert i have went to with exception of the steel wheels tour when i met a hottie and stole her away from her date and lost her phone number. she was from staten island and i regret losing that number. god she was hot. as a Dylan fan his shows were always entertaining to me as i know the lines. i have to say i was bamboozled into goin with a friend to see Bon Jovi "for the chicks" and i was not dissappointed. the boss was always good. but i was blown away when i saw Paul Mcartney. his band was great at every song they did. on the mellow side, i saw Don Henley at Radio City and as a longtime fan of his work i was just elated as a friend who was the videographer of the show put us in the first row of the balcony which was reserved for Don's entourage and they were missing. if you've ever been to Radio City those seats are amazing. i could go on but.....

I saw him at the old Boston Garden. We were sitting in the front row of the first loge and the whole row was pulling and pushing on the barrier in front of us until it finally busted. It was loud ...real loud...but you could still make out the rhythm and sounds. And to see this wild man swinging on a vine from one side of the stage to the other with only a leopard skin on was a little wild. If I saw that now I would say stupid but back in the day that was pretty wild. And also seeing the Who destroy the stage and their equipment was pretty wild as well

God if my kids only knew.......

Your absolutely right. I don't know how I let this one slip my memory. That's got to be the In the Flesh Tour. I also had the privilege of seeing him in the Radio K.A.O.S Tour in the late 80's.
He performed the Radio K.A.O.S at Market Square arena in Indianapolis and it was really strange because hardly anyone was there. We couldn't believe how empty the arena was. We were like "Damn, guess know body knows who hell Roger Waters is?", and the concert was just absolutely incredible.
