Well, I lied......I didn't ship the plugs out Monday like I said I would, because I'm on vacation this week, to put a roof on the house, and so far, it's rained half the days I've been off.
Consequently, only half the roof is done, and tomorrow.....and Friday......it's going to rain again, BUT that will give me a chance to get off the roof and ship the %^$# box out.
With any luck it just might reach roc before the May 10 deadline.
I hope.

Fall vacation from school, Thanksgiving.
Me and the 2 pauls and pete would meat up at the local convienance store.
They opened at 4 AM, and we would load up on Reece's, and a pint of milk.
Off to the Alders. grouse and Bunnies.
4 teenagers with guns, and ammo.
Now adays the swat team would be called in to squash an assault on the local high school. I long for those days.
My plugs are one the way. Soon. Roc I need the mailing Address.
Sorry for the wait, life has kicked my ass lately.
bass are here, so nothing else matters after these things are at your door.
I did poppers so you all get 2 from me.
I have Mike CC's as well.

Man, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's work, I haven't been able to fish for a week, and now that I have one day off to myself....I finished the roof on my house 4 hours before the monsoon hit.....here's the marine forecast for today and the next couple of days:

.TODAY...E WINDS 30 TO 35 KT WITH GUSTS UP TO 50 KT... BECOMING NE
25 TO 30 KT WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 KT THIS AFTERNOON. SEAS 10 TO 14 FT.
PERIODS OF RAIN.
.TONIGHT...N WINDS 25 TO 30 KT WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 KT. SEAS 9 TO
14 FT. A CHANCE OF RAIN AND DRIZZLE.
.TUE...N WINDS 20 TO 25 KT WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 KT. SEAS 8 TO 11 FT.
.TUE NIGHT...N WINDS 15 TO 20 KT...DIMINISHING TO AROUND 10 KT AFTER
MIDNIGHT. SEAS 5 TO 8 FT.
.WED...N WINDS AROUND 10 KT...BECOMING E IN THE AFTERNOON. SEAS 5 TO
8 FT...SUBSIDING TO 4 TO 6 FT IN THE AFTERNOON.

It will take a couple of days for the water to clear up after that, and then.....my in-laws will be here for the weekend. They don't fish.

Tournament season starts here May 20th, a 5 day'er,so I'll really be looking forward to putting some time (and new plug testing) into that one.

It's pretty nasty here, all the party boats are on hold, the good thing this time of year, the bass head right up river and are easy to find... if this was July, every fish in the river would be in that white water in the mouth if the river and out of harms reach...wnen it laid back down they'd head north... eastwinds here are BAD! our ocean Temp at 7 AM this morning was 47 degrees...

.TUE...N WINDS 25 TO 30 KT WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 KT... BECOMING NE

I've been out in 4-6's plenty, 6-8 a few times, (don't really want to repeat those trips), I'm getting a little woozy just thinking about 13-18.....screw that.
Here's what my local inlet looked like today:

That little strip of concrete out in the water there is usually about 10' above water level, too high for me to fish from comfortably.

When it has that much sand in the water it's not worth fishing....

there is a serious concern here that the beach is going to break through to the basin.... if if does that, it will once again put the mouth of the river where it started from...

we got a glancing blow here, no rain just a dry nor'easter....still had 5-9' offshore 12' in the mouth if the river...

OK I got Jollymons plugs yesterday..awesome!
