"My biggest worry is that my wife (when I'm dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it."
The sun is shining after several inches of snow and I cannot wait till wednesday. That is when I can get mine out of storage. Just around the corner, The big season !!! maybe just big dreams, Have to think positive.
I just dug my boat out yesterday..... *sigh*
I winterized the motor, but it had issues last year when I bought it.
It runs fine with muffs on, and in the barrel. But after I launch it and put it under a real load... bwahhhh... half power.
Cleaned the carbs, checked the lines. I think I may have a weak coil, checking that tomorrow after work.
Its a great 16' mirrocraft with a 40 Evinrude, livewell and storage. My buddy that sold it to me has a fly deck from fore to aft.
I love it and hate it. I need to get her up to 100% before May
Got my motor out, new coupler in, motor back in and fired up for a moment...she is running. Now just time to get the outdrive back on.
Many thanks to the Gunny for the assistance in putting it back in! Also to Roc for keeping me from panicking last year when I spun the coupler!
Now just need to finish the list of things to do:
1a. Get outdrive back on!
1b. Fix electrical connections so Wires are not wrpped together to have the motor run.
2. Purchase sea tow membership so if I break down again this year I am not drifting "across the pond"
3. Rewire trailer
4. Replace hubs on trailer
5. replace painted rims and all tires on trailer.
