Default Cod and haddock

Is it to early to be thinking about cod and haddock just a short distance off the NE coast. I'm thinking I should be ready for water mid to late April. I need to find that gravel/mud line.

Take a nice fat Haddock fillet, dip in egg, dredge in crumbled ritz crackers ground fine, put fillet in hot peanut oil, take it out in 4 minutes, apply tarter sauce, wash down with favorite beer.

May is usually a pretty good time to find small cod on the outside of boston harbor. I assume it would be the same other places. Let us know if you get into any.

here's a one man take in 3 hours of fishing, less than a half hour from my dock.... it's not always this good, but until the end of june, or the doggies move in I always do well enough for a few nice meals...

Default Stripers Yet?

I am going in a bet early this year. Taking a chance on the Merrimack River with the flooding in early spring, but HELL its been a long winter. Any one seen signs of Stripers in Cape Anne yet ???
