Default Thank you.

For someone with Albert's limited education, this is one of the most riveting stories I have EVER read. (Then again I love fishing) I agree with Jack, this story upsets me and makes me want to beat the hell out of guys who treated him like garbage. Bravo Jim, this is excellent.

I actually haven't read this story until just now.

I can't beleive people would do this to someone. How people can treat someone that way is awful.

Poor guy.

This truly is the most riveting story I have ever read.

What people will do for money is awful.

With a limited education, he is just trying to make his way for him, his wife, and his children. Any man deserves upmost respect for that. What hardships him and his family has had to endure is beyond me.

My friend and his mom can barely get by. Nearly every other month they have to move, and his mom has so much trouble finding a job. I feel so bad for him.
If I ever met Al, I would shake his hand, and tell him what a great man he is just from reading this.

One thing I don't understand - why does his friend stop talking to him?

And also -
Does Al still fish?

Poor guy.

Christmas Eve comes and I'm in the hotel with the kids. We're eating peanut butter and crackers. Ain't much going on.

That part got me the most.

THis man is my hero.

Als family lives in Beverly Mass. He likes to fish willows pier around July and August. If Hes not out around the magnolia rocks. Other favorite haunt is down near the bridge and the Salem light house. You cant miss him if you run into him. He really is an affable fellow. Loves to talk and teach fishing and loves fishermen. He is a sweat heart of a guy. His wife can be difficult. She's tired of all the crap.
