Lou, Don't know the answer about the cow question. Nice fish!

Boat or surf?

Incoming or Outgoing?

Not a cow. Cow = 40 lbs plus.

Nice fish.

As far as a cow is concerned, I think the definition can vary......somewhat abbitrary. For example in Maine, a trophy sized fish (if that means a cow) is anything over 40 inches. A 40 in striper probably weights about 20 lbs. So Rocs definition probably works in Maine.

If you go back through time and study the sport of striped bass fishing even prior to WW II, back when stiriped bass fishing was practiced by rich tycoons employing a chummer, gaffer and carrier pigeons cow bass (called bulls back then) were considered bulls when the 20lb mark was reached, the inch measure only came about as a measurement of size when all the size restrictions went into efect in the '80's, you'll never hear a vetran refer to a "cow" bass in inches, inch measurement were only used by comercial fisherman to make sure the fish were leagal...(although all the fish caught by those old time fisherman were marketed to help pay for the thousands of gallons of ground eel and menhaden chum and the lobster tails used as bait)'..

todays history lesson....

Thanks guys, it was definitely a fun day even though im pretty burnt. A guy from lawrence next to me caught a 36 inch fish right before so thre are definitely some bigger fish up here. I want to go back out but im up in Laconia for the next few days. Leaving tomorrow morning and today I gotta get ready and pack the bike to make sure all my crap fits on it lol.

Have a great day guys.
