Default Bass starting to show through the blues

Anyone who fished SoCo RI over the last month can tell you one thing. Getting to the bass thru the blues has been a real bitch. The blues have covered the whole area, and while very fun (most 8#+), they aren't what we're looking for.

Last night may be the first crack in their armor. We finally got into some bass through the blues. It was cool and windy, maybe pushing the blues into warmer water?

Off the breachway, there was a bass for every 10 blues - which is a big improvement. Saw 3 keepers (30" range) and the rest were in the mid 20's.

Fall is almost here!

Default Charlie Same thing further south

Charlie same thing a little further south. Mostly blues. all big uns. snappers still dominate the harbors. Reports of bass rollin in the bogs and keepers mixed in for the overnight diehards. Like me. :D

Keepers 2 trips 2 fish and a lost one. and 1 Big blue. A few snappers and coctails. first trip.

The upper Delaware river is chocolate brown with 4 or 5 - 5th wheels from trailers strewn in it. A big brown flooded mess.

The weekend Ill be back on Staten Island. Water temps still above normal.
