Default Bait wells for shad?

I have two aireated baitwells on my boat with curved corners. Are teses suitable for shad? I don't want to buy a bait tank if they will work.

Default Re: Bait wells for shad?

they might work, if you have either a water exchange system, or a filtration system. Shad are very dirty bait, but the Linesides like em. I carry 2 bait wells on my boat a 15 Gal for my shad, it has a water exchange system to constantly change the water out. My 30 Gal Greyline has a filtration system, I use it for my Trout/Alwives/and shiners. Sometimes, depending on how much bait I have, I will put the shiners with the shad.
