It may be a little late but here is what I had been using. Tandem, as in only like 2'' apart, 8/0 gami circle hooks in black, snelled to ande #60 floro leader,18''. Use a palomar knot to tie them to a standard black barrell swivel. To the other end of the swivel tie on about 20' of 40 or so lb. mono for a shock leader, I tried without a shock leader and ended up throwing about 4 rigs out into the drink before i figured out what was wrong. For a sinker slider I just used a standard barrell swivel and ran the shock leader through one ring so it would slide on the line and attached a snap swivel to the other ring so I could clip on the weight. This may not be the conventional way but you can buy 20 swivels for the same amount as 4 plastic sliders and they don't fling off. For the main line I used yozuri hybrid in 20# and attached that to the shock leader with a slim beauty knot. I'm no pro by any means but this set up caught me fish my first time out. Good luck.
