2010 Striper Pictures - Photos of twenty ten fish
Harbor Tackle, West Ocean City, Md. Fishing Report for May 14, 2010
Due to the winds this week, fishing was hard on the fishermen. People that braved the sand blasting did hook up with fish. Although striper fishing slowed this past week, some nice fish were still caught. Along with the stripers were skates, dogfish, black drum, and a few sand bar sharks. I’ve heard from a few fishermen this AM and the bite is on. Hopefully, it will keep up throughout the weekend. More flounder are showing up, but not many keepers. The striper bite has been great at the Rt. 50 Bridge at night along with the shad. Still nice tog around however the bite has slowed.
Harbor Tackle has fresh bunker, live bloodworms, live green crabs, live eels, black saltys, live chowder clams, big live minnows, and live peelers.

Re: newburgh
Solid action drifting bloods yesterday (5/13) from 6am until 3pm in newburgh bay.
2 of us boated ~25 fish including a nice 20# cow. The majority of fish were males in the 7-10# range. All fish were released.

2010 Striper Pictures - Photos of twenty ten fish
I was lucky to have got picked from a local Radio Station 98.3 to go on a fishing trip out of Chesapeake Beach on a charter boat Friday morning 5-14-10. (I don't know how cause I never win anything, but luck has changed I guess!) So I caught the third fish and it wasn't no monster, and believe it or not I caught a TAGGED fish! It had a reward tag in it and I called it in when I got home and I will be getting a hat and the info on the fish. Luck must be changing!

The bass bit good today with Capt Nick on the Xpress with a boat limit to 24 lbs. Capt Rich did the same on the Steiger. Here are a few highlights from ANGLER II's past trips.

2010 Striper Pictures - Photos of twenty ten fish
Nice to see the bite turn back on for tourny time
That wind was wicked today ... drifting was tough even with the sock out and 6+oz of weight !!
Have to mention the " reverse the curse" deal ... same exact thing happened last year. We all know the myth about bannanas being bad luck, well after a few very slow days and a skunk yesterday ... i brought a bannana with me today and the fishing was good LOL
Me and the boys were able to catch some fish today and get our 1st day entries in at the Castleton Derby.
Me and Todd were in the mid teens, and Capt Kevin caught a real nice 23lber that put him into 1st (at the time) didn't last long when we saw what came in next.

.
.
Franks fish weighed more than ALL 3 of ours combined !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
46.25" / 45lbs
Biggest Striper i have ever seen !!!
The hard part is to hopefully catch a fish tomorrow since it is a 2-day total ... don't think Frank is in to much trouble

2010 Striper Pictures - Photos of twenty ten fish
The fishing was great from beginning to end. We landed about 15+ stripers with 3 biggies. The weather was cool with wind gusts throughout the night. The alewifes were jumping everywhere and the herons were flying all night. Fished from about 9:00pm to 3:30am. I'll be heading out again Saturday night.

2010 Striper Pictures - Photos of twenty ten fish
Sorry for the lack of reports as we have been fishing as often as possible and we are now into a steady bite on both Bunker and Artificials! I was happy to participate once again in the FCA Manhattan Cup in NYC and had a great group of Wounded Warriors out for a great day of catch and release fishing.
I had the pleasure to have a LTG from the US Army, David Valcourt and Major General Gordon Nash out for a great time as our special guests. We slayed some Bluefish to 12 Pounds and it was indeed an honor to bait their hooks, net their fish and I cannot thank them enough for their service to our great country. I am picture between both Valcourt and Nash.
I also ran some trips and tried the New Hogy Darter Heads and they produced as advertised! Mike, thank you for some great products! The Bass ate them like candy!
I have dates in May and June available.
