Default Bait everywhere

Went out this morning around 10. Vineyard Sound and Buzzards Bay. Bait and working birds everywhere. I was skunked.

Got caught in a torrential downpour but I was prepared.

Another fisherman, an old timer at that was also skunked.

Neither of us are giving up.

Note to self:
Check zipper after fishing and before going back into work.

Sorry Jimi.

The number one reason I had lobster traps was for the excuse, "honey, I have to go check the traps.....".

I'm taking 1/2 day today to take advantage of the 60+ temps.

Default Re: Bait everywhere Update

Went out at noon on Thursday. Saw birds and bait but nothing was hitting. Tried several spots.

Around 1500 the tide was changing and the sun came out. I went back to my favorite spot. Tide was now ebbing. I was setting out my lines running at 7 mph when the first fish hit. Every troll brought results. Filled the boat with Blues in 30 minutes. Using light tackle once again, I had a ball. Largest was around 14lbs.

Cleaning the fish I found them full of large silversides which I saw everywhere at slack tide.
