Easy there killer..................................................
Burning gas in the boat right now is just a joy ride, Believe me I wish I could find a fish today, but you have several weeks before anything worthwhile is gonna tighten a line in the bay.
Save your gas money, clean and grease the reels again, re-sort and re-organize your tackle again, head to the local tackle shop, check out plugs, go dig some steamers, all better options than tooling around on water too cold to support any reasonably edible fish.

Gunny said go dig steamers. It's a good idea. I'm down the road from you. I have a couple spots we can dig and even take the boat for a short cruise to get her ready. PM me

I'm with you, I am ready to get some lines wet also! I have went thru all of my rods and added new line, tied new leaders and added more to the arsenal. I will need to drag a dingy to carry the tackle I have prepared. The boat is ready with new tires, wheelbearings and she's full of octane. We still have 5 weeks till opener day (April 19th)but maybe some practice before hand if weather permits getting itchy.

I've been making home-made eel pots. Been casting them out, and leaving them sit for a week. I haven't pulled any up yet, but I'm looking for sweet spots where the eels are plenty. I've been going to the beach and looking at what low tide looks like at places I fish. I'm scouting for spots, since nobody ever told me about there own sweet spots. I should go digging, good idea!

Cheers!
