Default Sluggos

I did a search because I thought at one point I saw Jigman talk about these, I couldn't find it. Does anybody use these? what's the best way to rig/fish them?

Default Slug-go

type in Slug-go in Google there is a link there to the rigging etc. of the lure, it's very descriptive and worth the effort.

I put a few together but haven't had the opportunity to try them yet.

Good Luck

Another way to rig them is without any weight with the hook rigged weedless. Insert the hook about 1/2 inch into the head of the sluggo, spin the hook as you pull it through (leaving the eye still inside), and re-insert the point back into the sluggo. The plus side is that the action on the sluggo is far superior to fishing them with a jighead or other weighted technique, and if there's a lot of sea-weed, it won't pick it up. The disadvantage is that you can't toss it as far. But, the bigger sluggos are heavy enough and together with their good aerodynamics, you can still get it out pretty good. Use a short, quick twitching retrieve with frequent pauses. They'll typically hit as you pause and it slowly sinks. Great technique in shallower water.
