all I can say is here we go again.... makes me a deflated season ticket holder..no doubt they are not the only team in the NFL to alter the footballs to their liking...the Ref's have a lot explaining to do... they handle the football for each team more than any member of the team and they couldn't tell... or they plain didn't care because everyone does it...until the complaining team points it out... and of coarse any evidence is out of reach...

Every QB likes the football a certain way... picks out the ones he likes best. The refs are supposed to make sure that is within legal limits. You don't hear anything about it because no one has brought it up before... For example, this hasn't happened to Green Bay where Aaron Rogers has been on record saying he likes to have over inflated footballs to be able to grip them better.

That said, I don't like that these footballs appear to have been outside the guidelines. It would have been nice if it was checked out immediately, instead of days later. Also I don't think it made a big difference, as the Patriots footballs were replaced at halftime of the Colts game, and the Patriots points scored in the second half were enough to beat the Colts.
